He asked and I said yes!

February 15, 2010

Ok…I know that the main question is “How did he do it?” when you tell people you are engaged.  So, here it is…It was Friday, February 12th, I was going stir crazy being at the house and couldn’t wait for Scott to get home.  We were supposed to go to lunch and something happened and we couldn’t so as soon as the clock turned to 5 o’clock I was ready for him to get home….he wasn’t hurrying!  I was aggravated and he was being so nice about it.  About 5:30 he called me on the phone.  The first thing that I did was look out the window to see if he was here and he wasn’t.  He asked me if I was close to the computer, I was.  He asked me to go to the website that we had purchased earlier in the week (which I had been bugging him to set up).  I went to it expecting to just see a plain screen, but he had picked a template and even made a post (you can see it, I left it on here!) It said “Keely I need you to do me a favor”…I had to click on it to see what else there was…”Put down the computer and open the door. ” I went to the door thinking what in the world…he isn’t even home yet.  He was standing there with a bouquet of roses and lilies and a little brown box. He got down on one knee and then the rest is history…you know…he asked and I said yes!!!!

I couldn’t be happier.  I am really looking forward to the wedding and all of the planning, but most of all I am looking forward to spending my life with the best man that I have ever known.  Stay tuned and I will keep you guys updated.  There is lots more to come!!!
